Ryukodo 2025 April Camp

The 49th Annual April Training Camp with Hanshi Peter Carbone in Northville, MI

I attended the 2025 Annual April Ryukodo Weapons Training Camp in Northville, MI. This event is held twice a year in April and August by Hanshi (10th Dan) Peter Carbone. Hanshi's organization is one of the best in the world and the only one that focuses on interactivity training with weapons.

Founded on the deep roots and kobushijutsu (ancient gentlemen warrior arts) of the Uhugshuku

class, the preservation of the ancient weapons arts of the Ryukyu Archipelago are realized in the nonstop interactivity training in a multitude of weapons and interchangability between different weapons and disrming techniques. In additon to the training, excellent home made Mederteranian cuisine was served to all in a banquete like setting. After hours, socializing and great comraderie followed each night of the three day event. Close friendships and experiences were gained through this intimate close quarters training.
