2024 Annual Ryukyu Kempo Training Camp

I was invited to attend Kyoshi Gerald Wicklund's annual Ryukyu Kempo Training Camp in Liberty, MO. Kysohi is a direct student of Grand Master Taika Seiyu Oyata and Grand Master Peter Carbone. In addition to Kyoshi Wicklund, Grandmaster Peter Carbone, Kyoshi Fred Ettish, Renshi Doug Goode and Renshi Tom Giardini were in attendance. Empahsis at the camp was interactivity training with the bo, tanbo and gusan (illusive menace) weapons and their respective disarm techniques. Hands on training and intercativity with these gentlmen of the warrior arts was intense and accelarated to a greater level. Being deadly could never be more fun when in this group of outstanding practitioners.
